JCB 535 95 Torque converter problem ?

I was pushing up a dung lump with the JCB when it decided it didn't want to move anymore after moving the forward / reverse lever. I could feel it try to move but it wouldn't actually move. I left it a few minutes and tried it again and it was fine so returned to the yard. It also had quite a delay taking up the drive when changing gear.
I tried it again the following day and it seemed fine, I took it up the track about 400 metres and then it slowed to a stop and wouldn't move. I then left it a few minutes and was able to return it to the yard. Again there was quite a delay before it would take up the drive when changing gear.
Any ideas ?

I have just checked the oil again and it is a little low, on the lower level mark on the dipstick, but is also a bit milky so that would mean condensation I assume.
The transmission is 4 speed operated on the shuttle lever.

I think i right in saying some of these transmission had or have silly plastic pistons on clutch packs which dont like antifreeze/water.

Under the radiator is a round tube which is the transmission oil cooler it will be leaking coolent in to oil.

Its not the reason you lost drive but it likely part of the cause of failure.

Plastic pistons in the shuttle pack.work fine when cold but bind as it heats up .ends up ends up trying to go forward and back at the same time .I helped re build one and new alloy pistons cured it .local jcb dealers hadent a clue but a few calls round independent specialists came up with diagnosis.

Problem turned out to blocked mesh filter in the bottom of the transmission. New filters and oil and it appears to be ok. The machine was new to us in August and had new filters not long before so it's a bit strange that the problem occurred after so few hours use . The new oil is showing no sign of going milky yet so the milky oil that was in the transmission is also odd although the cooler may have a tiny leak so will have to be checked every time its used.

suction filters don't block up with out reason, normally its the linings off the clutch packs.
