JCb fastrac or valtra for a 60 k tractor

Valtra will do about 60 but not legally. JCB legal at that and more. Depends on how nasty your local plod are and what you do with it at other times. Ours does 53k and police don't care ,spud farm not far away were getting pulled over all the time and had to change for fastracks.

My pickup does 115mph, doesn't mean it's safe to go that fast

Mind you, about the only place in the whole of Wales quiet and safe enough to go faster than a pensioners bicycle is probably Anglesey racetrack? 🤔

I have to drive 20 miles between 2 farms. Mostly A road a little dual carriageway, narrow road and 5 or 6 miles of 30mph limit. Generally I work on about 45mins to do the journey. We had a 60kph Fendt 828 on demo and it made the journey only a little bit faster. The reality was the tractor was always being held up by other traffic. It’s a busy road and somebody is always going slow or there’s so much traffic everyone is stopped.

We decided 60kph wasn’t a necessary thing for us.

800 series Fendt would be a better option unless you are spending lots of time on dual carriageways. I had a new Valtra and like a lot of people round here who have had them soon realised they are trading on their previous faultless reputation for being well built when in reality the new ones are disappointing to say the least.

I used to do my trip in 40kph tractors all the time. It’s certainly not the end of the world. Just a little more planning as I would avoid just running there and back for one job like I can do now. Perhaps that just means I was more efficient with a slower tractor.
