Also anyone shed any light on how to get it to run at low revs when going uphill to help grip ?

If I use it in any of the autos it just revs up making wheelslip worse

I can only do it using manual or PS mode
Try to use any of the autos including rev hold and it won't move with the revs set at 1300 rpm max as soon as it comes to an incline it just stops ?

Stupid question but.... you are in 4wd? They are turbo sh!t in 2wd off road.

In my experience I never use weight on the nose. In fact I don't think the tractor is fit to lift something heavy enough to lift the nose, and will be far better balanced with no weight on front.

Tyre pressures, generally just try and get 3 lugs of the tyre flat on ground if you want it to pull.

It's the only tractor we have that will lift the 3m sumo with seeder and sumo discs on the back with nothing on the front you wouldn't go down the road but can shift around the yard with it on but the tyres are about to the rims at 17 psi so no way I'd want a deck weight on as well adding more weight

But when there is no weight transfer from the implement (ie your roll) perhaps a deck weight would help???
I'm not gonna try to say it wouldn't because of course it will but a 9t tractor shouldn't need a deck weight to pull a grass roller . I've a 3350 JD in the shed that used to pull our 10ft grays that was filled with concrete up that field this Watson is 12ft so will be heavier but not that much more that a big tractor like this should be scratching around for grip

We found if it was dry & hard the fastrac had a lot of grip but on days like today damp & wet they were sh!t at wheel grip , I can see that new 8s getting closer
🤣🤣 8s 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'll maybe get converted next week at they're open day tho.

I'm actually surprised how much grip it has in certain situations then get hacked off on days like today with it

Could it be coming to a stop because it’s in high range, not low range and so vario is stalling?
Also be aware the transmission has a turboclutch feature. After selecting direction, engine needs to rev above 1400rpm to lock up the turboclutch. Once it’s locked up you can’t bring the revs back down again to tickover

Edit - sorry typo: Once it’s locked up you can bring the revs back down again to tickover and turboclutch stays locked

It's in low .

That'll likely be something to do with it then. It's just strange as it'll do it fine in manual or PS but just isn't happy in any auto function. I'm just too used to JD's autopower being better at doing stuff like that they'll sort their own revs out but when you need to you can intervene and drive it like any other tractor do whatever you want with the revs and it'll keep doing it's thing .

it is the JCB software that works the gearbox that makes them a big let down

Adblue filter is fitted into the dosing module unit behind the right hand plastic spat. There’s a small inline filter in the pipework adapter into the dosing module too
Hi
Does somebody know where the DEF (Ad Blue) filter is located on a 4220, it doesn't say in the owners manual.
