Jcb loader steering stiff at full lock

My 530-60 has started going very stiff at full lock, particularly bad when reversing tight, then trying to go forward in opposite direction. Any ideas of things it could be?

Tyre pressures ok?

Not really- temp doesn't seem to matter. Tyres are bald however, which might have a bearing- just waiitng on delivery of new ones. Pressures are fine, but does seem worse with a full bucket.

Blow em up to 50psi to test...

What state are the tyres, is there any with different tread depths? could be winding the gearbox/diffs up, when it's at full lock and stiff, push boom down to lift wheels off the ground to see if any spin backwards.

Good thought, will try that. Thanks. Just waiting on 4 new boots which will hopefully solve it, as current ones are slicks

Trunion bearings well greased?

"Reasonably" well greased, but will give them more in the morning!
