I think there has to be some sort of ability to tow an implement to determine it is a tractor. Pretty sure you wouldn’t get it taxed as one !anybody know the definition of tractor surely should have at least a drawbar or pto 3pt links thats more a dragster with very small spray tanks
Is it just me or does this attempt make Valtra's previous record look even more impressive? That was a tractor whereas this 'Fastrac' isn't.
This is not the first time JCB has made a fast machine years ago they had a JCB 3CX with a 454 blown Motor in it that did over a 100mph , JCB GT
It still won't be a tractor.I think I read that the JCB was capable of 1000hp but it was dialled down to half power, they’re going to do another run later in the year.
mate got pulled in a unimog doing 56 40 odd years ago and he was towing the lime elevatoriirc the early fastrac could do 60 plus so things haven’t moved on that much in the last 28-29 years.....

Whether you call it a tractor or not, I can't drive a Dear John all day and get out without a sore back, whereas in the JCB I can.
15 miles an hour max speed on siteThis is not the first time JCB has made a fast machine years ago they had a JCB 3CX with a 454 blown Motor in it that did over a 100mph , JCB GT
"The Fastrac had been specially modified with help from Formula 1 designers Williams Engineering. Usually it has a top speed of 44mph from its 350bhp engine. !!!!!"130km/h. They claim that the only tuning was to alter the transmission by a Pc.

"Four-time Rally World Champion Juha Kankkunen sets a new Guinness World Record for the fastest speed ever recorded for tractors. Mr. Kankkunen whipped a Valtra T234 tractor up to a speed of 130.165 km/h on northproof Nokian"How fast was the record set by valtra not that long ago?
I wonder why JCB are not claiming it as a world record ??
High speeds on snow ,,,,
