anybody know the definition of tractor surely should have at least a drawbar or pto 3pt links thats more a dragster with very small spray tanks

I think there has to be some sort of ability to tow an implement to determine it is a tractor. Pretty sure you wouldn’t get it taxed as one !

Is it just me or does this attempt make Valtra's previous record look even more impressive? That was a tractor whereas this 'Fastrac' isn't.

I think I read that the JCB was capable of 1000hp but it was dialled down to half power, they’re going to do another run later in the year.

JCB GT is not a 3CX. It is a chassis made to hold the engine and drive train, a 3CX cab, and some loader and backhoe arms made from tin and stuck on. It is in no way capable of doing anything that a digger would.

It's even less impressive when you look at Honda's lawnmower which did 110mph and can still cut grass!

iirc the early fastrac could do 60 plus so things haven’t moved on that much in the last 28-29 years.....

mate got pulled in a unimog doing 56 40 odd years ago and he was towing the lime elevator

Whether you call it a tractor or not, I can't drive a Dear John all day and get out without a sore back, whereas in the JCB I can.

He's saying that this "fastrac" wasn't a tractor anymore since it had been completely rebuilt akin to how race trucks are completely different machines to regular lorries.
Meanwhile the Valtra was taken straight from the factory line bone-stock with the possible exception for a changed final gearing and some software changes.
