Jcb steering problem

Location

hi all, I've got a jcb 530-70 and the steering between the front wheels and the back wheels has somehow come out of line slightly....(it's done this before once but I just straightened back wheels then put it in front wheel steer and lined front wheels back up)
Trouble is for some reason I can only get 4 wheel steer selection...anyone know if there's a fuse (and which number) I've checked all fuses and none blown but a few missing....thanks for any advice

Yes there is a fuse but you will have to look in the manual or on the fuse plate to ID it the picture of it is a steering wheel.

Take it out and you should have 2 wheel steer only I think? line them back up and put fuse back in, check LED lights on both front and rear sensors are lit when wheels are straight. Sensors quite common to fail or need adjusting.

To be honest its a way over complicated set up just to get 4 wheel steering, glad I don't have to fudge about like that with the manitous they have the best steering mode selection of just about any handler, a 3 way manual diverter lever what could be simpler?

I've tried the fuse trick but still would only stay in 4 wheel steer, I've also cleaned the sensor on back axle and nothing happened....think the only way I'll get them lined back up will be to jack the back end up....undo the hydraulic steering ram pipe shove the rear wheels in line then reconnect the pipe...

Had quite a few do's with these JCB's and steering alignment, check the sensors are lit, judging by the fact it won't change mode nearly guarantees sensors are responding. Both front and rear need to work for steering mode to change, adjustment is a fine balance. Sensors fail too, a small knock is often all it takes to finish them off.

I would say @ACEngineering is on the money

Trouble is, in the cab, the little red light which tells you which steering mode you're in stays in 4 wheel steer mode even when you turn the dial to either steering mode selection...it won't select any other mode
