JCB telehandler won't tilt forward when hot...

Any ideas?

It's a 531-70, fine when cold, but when it gets hot, it won't tilt/crowd forward. It will tilt back no problem.

Let it cool down, starts working again.

You can hear the hydraulic pump working so doubt it's a joy stick issue.

Have heard the check valve on the front of the tilt ram can stick, could be this?

Probably check valve,
If they get an imperfection in the valve it expands with heat, and then refuses to work,
Swap it with another, to confirm,

That's the one,I had to do mine a few years ago, my mate did his one a few weeks ago

We replace one last week
£490 plus vat from main dealer
Or £190 from HTS
( though removing grub screw and
Putting back with same no of turns did get it working again while we waited for next day for new part)

£300 from a main dealer not bad
It would be nice to go a dealer and not have
to see if that part is cheaper elsewhere
As there are massive variables out there

By way of update, new valve fitted (apparently termed a "counter balance valve"), and all fine since.
