thwaites never made diggers.
It seems that you never came across the Thwaites digging dumper that was made in the 1960's. Unfortunately I worked for a land drainage contractor that had one, Biggest problem was that it couldn't dig a big enough hole to lose itself. Kubota and Takeuchi had nothing to fear.

I keep looking around for a 13 tonner and have driven js130’s, which are quick and I find smooth to drive. But I hear to many tales of issues with JCB’s, mainly electrical faults. As much as I would love to support JCB, I’ll more than likely go with a Volvo or hitachi when I get round to it.

I’m a volvo user and I’ve had 4 of them but really not that keen on the 14 ton model.the case is way ahead of anything I’ve used in that weight.dont really understand why everyone rants about hitachi, they are good machines but not massively better than anything else either

Hopefully the new ones will be massivly better.really hate hire machines that are gutless compared to the competition.im sure alot of companies turn the pumps down.last 8080 i had did not have enough power to lift tye tracks to turn

In the twenty or so years I’ve been on diggers I don’t think anything comes close to Volvo upto there 8t machine. Never been on a bigger Volvo so couldn’t comment. I too can’t understand the hype about hitachi’s, been on a fair few of them and not one was a nice machine to grade with

we run jcb 145s for loading our self propelled muck spreaders. theres nothing quicker and we have tried most makes. Two and a half minutes to load 22-23 ton aint to shabby.
I'd have a job to believe that!!!
In fact I don't but I'd be happy to be proved wrong if you want to put a Video up
22ton off floor into a spreader no way maybe a f**king big shovel On concrete

I dont lie bud. we have buckets that carry 1and a half plus tones of sewage cake at a time. As long as you have plenty of material in front of you and dont waste time scraping the ground clean until the spreader has gone it quite easy. feel free to come to hampshire and see a proper digger driver work!!!

That's a cycle time of just over 10 seconds if sat up on a heap you may have a chance not off the floor and not all day filling spreaders I don't need to travel to Hampshire to see any proper drivers there's plenty about that don't talk sh!t!
