Have split one of these quite a few times with the old Duncan cab, but this ones got an OPU on it, is there an obvious way , or has the cab to be tilted back to get at the bell housing bolts? cheers.

Not got a 2130 OPU, but have an 1140 and 2040 with OPUs that we have split. From memory, on the 2040 you can get at the bell housing bolts by removing parts like the steps and battery housings and swearing at it while skinning knuckles.

On the 1140 you have to remove the front cab mount bolts and jack the front of the cab up carefully.

We have a 2130 with a duncan and I'd guess the front transmisson casting to be the same size as the 2040 so hopefully you can do the job without the extra hassle.

Hi, if you are splitting or have to get at the top bell housing bolts, battery box's off bolts through back of box, and bolts down through floor of cab, jack under corner of cab, lift by about 6", you may want to just undo hydraulic arm linkage ( brackets holding it to bottom of cab) just to make sure nothing gets bent. hope that helps, if you are delving further then pins in holes at back of cab and rear mounts undone, I assume, never had too myself?
