JD 3050 frontloader stops when steering is applied

Hello everyone! I am the proud owner of a JD 3050. Had it for only a few days, but what an epic tractor! Coming from a Mf35 it's very different šŸ˜

I noticed that the loader had a bit of a judder. I see that when I operate the loader and turn the steering, the loader will stop. When I stop turning the steering wheel, the loader will continue to move.

When the oil is hot (long drive), then the rear lifting arms also judder and front hydraulics become dog slow. All filters and oil have been changed.

The place I bought it tested the pressure and all is within spec.

Does anyone know what causes this perhaps please? I have a few days to have the dealership check it out...any suggestions would be very helpful.

Is there a noticeable difference with the hydraulics when the Hi-Lo is in Hi or Lo??
Oil flow to other services will be reduced when steering due to having a single pump. The steering priority valve ensures priority oil to the steering (obviously)..

No difference between hi lo hydraulic performance. Steering while operating the loader aside... The judder in the loader is what makes me nervous.

Could it be that a faulty priority valve is sending too much flow through brakes and steering and not enough to the loader?

Just a bit over 10k hours.

How about pressure control valve (not sure about the technical name)? Perhaps pump is giving the correct output pressure (as tested) but its being restricted by the pressure control valve, causing the priority valve to "open up" more for steering and brakes?

Nope, again, not possible.
Put a 0-300 psi gauge in the Lube test at the front of the tractor. Flow test from the rear SCV to tank. See what flow you have at 2000 revs, 170 Bar pressure. Also, what pressure is in the Lube gauge..

I will need to buy a test gauge. I live 80km away from the nearest tractor shop, so difficult to get it there for tests. Will get a gauge soon and do the pressure tests. Is there merit in testing pressure at the loader hoses too?

check your trailer brake valve isnā€™t stuck, you should be able to push the tit in with the engine running. When the valve sticks open, it basically causes a high pressure internal leak and priority oil will flow continuously.

If you've only had it a few days save your money on gauges and flow meters and get who you bought it from sort it.
I'm planning to own the tractor for many years, so would like to learn to fix it's quirks myself. Obviously the dealership is involved, but I cannot say that customer service is a thing in Sweden

It's very unlikely to be this.. Try connecting a trailer brake hose to it. Or, see if you can push in the centre of the coupling marked '2' in the parts diagram..(No 1 is the trailer side)
