Thanks a lot folks I know not everyone will like every make but I’m satisfied that ye all have fairly good experiences with the 3800. Still waiting on a final price was asked 21500 sterling so doesn’t seem to bad!!

I bought an '06, 3 years ago after a long time looking around.
Later models had a lot of upgrades...Fueling/injection pump, cab roof restyling and ventilation, hydraulics, boom pipework and cast pivot beam, wiring.
Mine was a pig to start in winter... turned out to be the pre-heat not working.
Replaced solenoid down by the battery and it's perfect.
Had same problem with my 6410.
Personally I'd of kept the push/key pre-heat of the 10 series over the 38 'key on, pause, beep, start'

They kinda have - bought Kramer.
It’s only a marketing arrangement....sorry “strategic relationship” -> JD sell Kramer Ag spec machines through their dealer network. Think they announced at the time they were investing in some shares in Kramer-Werke, but it was never made public how many. One things for sure though Kramer is still definitely owned/controlled by Wacker Group and not JD.

Shall we say "substantial" .
What's weird is I can't find any figures (made public anyhow) on the level of investment, so can't say whether its substantial or not. If you look at the JD annual reports from 2017 and 2018 (quick google), Kramer or Wacker Group is not even mentioned once. All their other investments and acquisitions are detailed pretty well.

Finally got a chance to drive the 3800 today it’s a lovely straight machine only concern was a humming coming from under your feet when I drove and used hydraulics together not a problem when I was using them separately. Any ideas??
