I’ve been looking at a clean 06 3800 loader. Have no experience of loaders. Are they as good as other makes of similar age??
So would it be any good on a pit?For their time they were light yrs ahead of anything else. If she's tidy it wants buying immediately
Ok it would only be 200 acres a year thought it might be fit for itMaybe asking a bit much of it imo
We did 15yrs ago ran duals on it. Fine with trailed forager. Wouldn't consider now with big sp forager. So would it be any good on a pit?

Is there anything to watch out for in them??
They are a bitch to start on a cold day and anyone who tells you different is lieing ( and I have one to sell!) they draw a lot of power to start so your battery needs to be cock on. 2 fixes for this is add another battery or remove the isoltator as in led to believe this causes issues.
You need air con because you don’t want to be folding the doors back it’s a really crap system for that.
Someone across the valley ran them for probably 15 years pushing in behind SP harvester and loved it.
They are a brilliant machine depending on what you want them to achieve. By modern standards they do now lack some luxuries ie boom suspension
