If you got your heart set on green, buy green. Don't know how prone the 6600s are to head gasket failures.
I think you might get more value for your money in the blue or red camp looking at the used market, but the Deere's are of course expensive because they are... the best :)

@Joe S No clue about the 5.9l engine mate, I would have thought they would have used the same six cylinder across the 66/68/6900? Tractordata is sometimes inaccurate I guess.

You forgot the porous blocks with exploding oil filters.....

Oh and yes those dropped valves are terrible. We have to keep a spare engine in reserve because of it.

6800 and 6900 are 6.8l engines. 6800 here since 1997. Head gasket done at 3000 hrs. Cross shaft for lift arms 6500hrs. Brakes and pistons done at 7500 hrs. Currently on 7700 ish hrs. It has been a very good and reliable tractor so it's still here.(y)
sounds good(y)this one has does 7700h seems tidy and been seems a high ish spec looks tidy too(y)think tractor data is wrong about the engine?

Looks like it could be the same engine block with different stroke lengths (127mm vs 110mm) according to tractordata, I'm sure someone will come along to confirm/deny it :)
