Jd 6000 dome to a 7000

Having a few issues with my early 6000. I'm having to put an offset on the tractor as it's always off when I turn around. Same dome does this on all tractors it's been on. Might look at a 2nd dome but I hear the 7000 does this also?

I'll have to measure exact but it could be about 15-25 cm out when I turn around to go in it's same tracks. I've done the usual tcm calibration and it does the same on 3 tractors. Pass by pass it's out a fair bit 1 side and overlaps the other direction. No matter the offset I can't seem to get it perfect. I'm putting the offset on the tractor not the machine. I might see if someone can come have a look. Not bothered me too much before but drilling a lot of grass these days and want to get it right. 1 way not the disc is a nice even distance from the other disc sometimes a tad wide the the other way I have a bit of overlap. Keep messing but not getting there for some reason.

I'd certainly be getting thier GPS experts to look at it .
We've got 3 6000 s and they're all as good as each other on sf1 one of them is sf3 but we've never bothered with it

Something odd here. A GNSS receiver itself does not know left from right, if it reports position offset from the centre of the tractor, it must be because of the receiver itself (including the GNSS antenna) is physically offset from the centre of the tractor. A cm is perhaps possible but 25 cm no way (unless intentionally installed like that).

This offset (long term average) should not exist with any correction signal but you should mention which correction signal you are using.

The best domes won't run true if the offsets are wrong. I've never had a single implement ever pull straight. I have a few SF6000 units. One with SF3, the rest SF1. SF1 is ok pass to pass but I do run a bit more overlap than SF3. Best to spend some time with a tape measure in the field.
