I’m currently using a jd6930 pulling a 4200 Ltr trailed sprayer.. was thinking of buying a Jd 6130r . How comfortable would the same sprayer be on that tractor? Also how good a tractor is it ? Thanks ?

I went from a 6430 to a 6130r, bloody love it! I'd have no doubt putting that sprayer on it, mine pulls 16t trailers, drills with a 3m combi and front press and runs a 1800+1000 mounted sprayer outfit. Very capable tractor doing what others have much bigger tractors on. They aren't a light tractor like the "big 4cyl" tractor of 20 years ago, mine is 6.8t on a weighbridge with 650 xeobibs on

Yeh mine is autopower with command arm, a real pleasure to drive. I'll have to check the spec sheet but yeh I think it is the 114l/min pump. When I'm drilling there's the hydraulic fan running and it'll pick the drill up no bother without pulling the fan speed down, lift the front press at the same time and it's too much for it really, it'll do it but slowly so I lift them seperately

Pull an Amazone 4200 with our 6130 quite happily, if it's dry and hard will cope in 540e with pto revs at 450. Loaded right up with liquid fert (4600lts) plus 500lts of wash water when it's stickier in the spring needs the engine running faster but no problem handling it.

Make sure you get 650/65r38 on it. Well, if you want to ofcourse, the standard 600 is to small for such a heavy tractor in my opinion.

Agreed. I've been looking around for an ex demo/year old 6130R for a while and am surprised at the number on narrower tyres - some are 50k tractors on 520's from memory

My 12.4 rowcrops are rated to 50kph, and being taller than standard tyres it'll do near 60kph on them, if 520s are the correct rating and run at the correct pressure for the job there's no reason why it is a problem. The factory standard tyre for a 6130r is either a 460 or 520 from memory

I have 2 mates who both had 6520s and traded them in for 6130s. They do like them but they say they are not as good when pulling bigish trailers. They say they feel the can get bossed about by the trailer which never happened with the old 6 cylinders.
One of them does a lot of fencing and either has to weight the front up or keep loader on when on steep land as he struggles to keep front wheels down. Never a problem on the old.
That’s what they tell me anyway.
I suppose it all depends on what you want the tractor to do though so each to there own.

A 6130r is heavier than a 6520, a bit shorter yes but these modern 4 cylinders aren't small

A 6130 will be a good outfit. A lot more agile than a 6cyl anyway. If I stay with Deere I'd be looking very hard at a 130 . My 6155 is a big numb thing compared to my 6930 turning circle is shite it was very numb power wise till we sorted it . Our 6430 that's remapped will outdo the 155 and keep up with the 6930 with a 14t marshall trailer with 16t of stone out the quarry yes you can feel it's physically lighter but just watch what yer doing she's fine . Excellent all round tractor the 4cyl. It's quite funny I grew up pulling 10t trailers on 2wd 80hp tractors and you now get folk getting jumpy about 16t trailers on a 130hp 4wd tractors with good trailer brakes etc same with a trailed sprayer how much do they weigh 8t tops? For a 4500l
