Yes, became two pieces with the actual cap nestled against the guard and the threaded bit still on the filler pipe. A bit a materiel over it secured it until I replaced it.
 
?. Easily cured. . Look closely at first three threads on filler cap , They wear or casting not just right .
Jam a piece of rag in filler covered in grease then more grease. , get a hacksaw and take top off filler one leg on timing case , grease catchers filings Then new cap , cures problem .
I had a new cap machined out of a billet of Ali with longer thread.
Other tractor I made a little heat shield for it , so fan not blowing hot air at filler , maybe psychological , but since hacksaw job no more problems .
And break out the floppy bit in top of filler cap so it gets hold of more threads.

Anti splash device. And filler kneck I cut top off you can see dodgy thread
