I've been drilling with our 6210 and lemken drill the last couple of days and I've got a slight problem. The drill has work lights fitted, these are selected on the drills control box then when you switch the tractors side lights on the drills lights come on, the problem is the tractor just comes up with an error message, plugged the box into the 7530 today and everything is normal. As far as I can see the lights get there power from the 12v drill supply and just uses the tractors sidelights for a signal to switch on, so i'm looking for ideas to keep the tractor from spitting the dummy.

Could it be the same problem as fitting extra worklights? The tractor senses the extra voltage required and has a little cry. You'll need the dealers laptop to tell the tractor its ok. Apart from that, how do You like it? We got a 6170r last year and it goes well. lovely spacious cab.

Hmm this sounds like you need to get the dealer out to it to reset the computer the same way you do when you add twin beacons on them. Oh just a word of warning be-careful if your using lots of power through the cab ports as they all go through one fuse not like on the 30 series and before where each was on an individual 15amp fuse. We found out this summer at work to our own costs when we melted the fuse holder harvesting potatoes. We cured it in the end by powering the harvester directly off the battery though an isloator switch.

If its like the 30 series you just change a code in the technician mode,a good dealer will tell you how over the phone.

Spitting the dummy, for goodness sake? Chill out, it's cos the 6210 is can bud and can sense a drain!

It's not the end of the world right enough, I guessed about it being the increased drain. This is going to sound stupid but on the drill it has two bulbs for the side lights then this signal for the work lights, on the mower there is 4 side light bulbs so will this not be more drain than the drill.

The rest of the machine is really good, well pleased with it.

The drill gets its power straight from the battery, had issues in the past running it from the in cab plug.

I'm presuming that the worklights aren't driven by the sidelights, but a signal from the sidelights is used to turn on the supply to the worklights? As for changing parameters, i'm not certain this is possible on these, changing beacon signal is slightly different.

Yeah that's how it works, it's just a signal rather than powering the work lights

If you could post a trouble code that really would be more useful, I presume it is overloading the lighting circuit there is probably a solution to this problem but i'd prefer to see trouble code before I make suggestions, we can check how much current it is drawing using the command center.

The dealer has been out to it for a different issue today and I mentioned to him, they're going to look at it tomorrow but thanks for the help.

An update on this, it turns out I was a bit quick to blame the tractor, it turned out to be a dodgy connection on the drill, when I pulled the cable to try it on another tractor it was okay but when it was back in the normal position it was earthing out. Had plenty time to look at it as the tractor has been broken down since monday night with injector issues.
