Ones a tractor that aslong as keep bit of money aside for eventual head gasket and keep tidy will always be a low houred, reliable, very saleable tractor hopefully meaning low cost of ownership, the other is a case…….

Looks a no brainer on paper, the price difference to the newer one. Just be prepared for the gearbox in the case in a few thousand hours. We’ve two 145’s with the A8 box. Nuff said

Did the box give trouble on both of your 145s

sh!t itself on one and away for two weeks, both have had problems from new. Losing drive, throws up error codes and Need to stop and start it to reset. Been better recently but taken two yrs to get to this point and stil randomly does it. Like I say if we were to have another case it’d have to be cvx

I'd think so . We still have one and a 75 they'll both be going up not down. In fact I'd just about say all but 1 tractor we have will be creeping up
Dont understand the fascination with a 30 series, while they are a good enough tractor the r series is defo a more reliable workhorse with less gasket and sensor trouble

We've had 30 series since 09 we currently have 4 of them 2 of which were bought second hand so dunno about they're previous history but the 2 we have that have been here since new have had very few problems.
We've had 1 head gasket 1 turbo and 1 egr valve on 30 series over time I can't remember which 6930 had the head gasket and which had a turbo but the one we still have is heading on 7000 hrs I think it's on the original it definitely had an egr valve so it's not that unreliable

I’m a deere man through and through but the 6630 is over priced. I had my 6140r similar spec and loader for less.
be interesting to see what john chapmans 6830 in browns sale today just over 2000 hrs
would rather pay top money for 30 series than early gutless r series
we where talking about this yesterday
jd desler has 3000 hrs ex hire 6155 60 something k
answer was but two older 6610 20/30 good spec for same money and know they will be reliable and simpler . but one man who said that don’t like driving new ones , too fecking complicated 🙈 let me have the old one know how to use it , you keep to your new one 😭
