Jd 6810 cutting out when hot?

What could be the cause of a tractor to cut out when it gets hot? Injection pump has been changed but did not cure the problem.

Does it just die? Any other symptoms?
Is the lift pump working and giving a good continuous flow of fuel? could also be electric. How long before it restarts?

I have a 6910, it doesn't cut out but if it's worked hard and then stopped it won't start again on the key. I carry a short piece of armoured cable to jump it across the selonoid. I'm afraid that doesn't help with your question though.

Dies when hot, takes lots of cranking to get it to go again. Or if left for 10 minutes will start straight away. Its not my tractor so that's what I'm told. He has an electronic guy out to look at it too.

Which injector pump does it have?? Lucas / Delphi or Bosch VP44 from memory??
