JD 6820 spool valve problem

The two spool valves on my 6820 are not holding pressure. Eg when lifting reel on baler, lift ok but go straight down again. Also leaking oil through the small pipes that release the pressure.
Any thoughts please.

Replace the couplings, that fixed ours

I concur. I don't know about other brands but the couplings are not that impressive and they are not cheap.

I hate the JD quick couplers. We have changed several on our 6400 and 6420s. The usual problem we find is hoses popping out under pressure or being almost impossible to remove with pressure released.

Next time we have to change one, I'm going to look at making an adaptor to fit a regular one with a sliding sleeve which seem more reliable and a fraction of the price.
