Maybe a silly question but what does this do ? It’s been damp for good while but today there’s noticeable drops off engine oil on ground and dip stick is a little low

I've seen the tube O Rings leak, you have more oil sneaking out of a gasket by the look of your picture.
You'll have to tip the engine over quite a bit to fix it. I did a 6420S once, not as easy as it looks..

As above really. Are you able to clean it off a bit and check that it isn't the o rings. If is it will be bubbling up around the pipe. You will need special o rings from the dealer if it is them. Just take the filter holder off and it's straightforward. Looking at the picture though it does look like the gasket.

Would you happen to know the part number for the gasket by any chance?
Yes I do. If you follow this link correctly and save it in favorites you can pick all the parts you need for the job..
You need 2 gaskets, 2 O Rings inside, 4 O Rings for the oil lines but you need the engine serial number and an oil filter with some nice new Plus 50 oil..

Do you have the clamp #18. 10 series usually do but I'd check cos that makes the pipes #6,8 cut into the Alu housing #10 and the orings leak. Don't mix the bolts up on #10 housing as they can push the oil cooler In and leak coolant to the sump.
