The 643 is what I'm looking at,by self locking pins I presume you mean mechanical ? I'm looking at hydraulic this time as the mechanical one on my quicke isn't the best

The quicke I have now will be on 4500 hrs time I change but really only used a back up to jcb,but I know if I didn't have a loader id miss it
What did you think of the 643r loadertoday

Just found this thread
So anyone got anything more to add about the R series loaders we had one last spring and it's not a patch on the H series we have on another tractor
If there is anyone who thinks the new system of locking the loader on the tractor is an improvement on putting 2 simple pins in that you at least knew had secured the loader on like their predecessors is better ?
someone has commentated previous about the mechanism being a bit of a faff
A bit of a faff is an understatement I have used and heard swear words I had long forgotten about these past 12 months
What part of progress the R series loader is I just cannot fathom out

I'm pleased with mine, taking it on and off is a doddle and much prefer it to the quicke one it replaced and have no issues with the little pins that tell you if it's latched on properly,my only grumble is the buttons up by the radio you have to press when using the hydraulic latch pins, though my dealer is going to change that so they are on the joystick buttons for me so that will be spot on
