May have been covered before- if it has apologies and please link me to it but I the only ones i could find were subtly different. A 6920 approx 8000hr. For a long time the 'clutch' pedal has at times been very abrupt and at odd times been the opposite and felt like drive has 'slipped' on take up. From reading on here it's likely to be a spring that can be fairly easily replaced? Since the fault doesn't occur that often I have been putting it off as I am not sure which bolt needs to be taken out to locate said spring. Anyway the other week the 'clutch' became so abrupt that the tractor was undriveable, it was also the case if I used the F/R lever which I think has always worked perfectly. I had to stop work, I left the tractor for half an hour and it's worked fine ever since, including a day on the plough. The only error code stored was EPC 306057.31 -faulty transmission enable signal- this makes me think that this episode was electrical? Even if the spring may well need replacing.
Finally and maybe not related to either of the 2 previous things I thought I better change the transmission filters as they were just over the 750 hrs. I had changed the oil with genuine hyguard at the previous service and cleaned the suction screen as directed and all seemed fine then. This time the oil was much darker than i would have expected but didn't smell burnt or anything. I don't think there is likely to be anything up with the brakes as the tractor has done very little roadwork in its life. I'd appreciate the thoughts of the TFF experts please. I'll tag @Timbo @Phil P and @Tractortech for starters.

Are any of these the bolt that hides the ‘clutch’ modulator valve spring or whatever it’s called.

This thread I think

springs were broken on our 6920 but no symptoms.

Now Then..
With a 15/16" ring spanner, the plug is towards the front of the Powrquad, pretty much directly over the MFWD shaft. Expect an oily arm..
I once had the spring on top of the 'forward valve" fail causing an aggressive forward engagement, reverse was fine..
Is your abrupt clutch, in both directions, or just one??

Watching with interest. My 7710 powerquad doesn't like the clutch pedal to be gently released , say when trying to start a load or when your wanting to inch forward a bit. Nothing happens then it just grabs. Been wanting to address it at some point

Both I think. Definitely forwards.

To feedback,
Bottom part of valve was damaged, broken spring crosswise in hole. Middle section of valve scored and top spring broken. Replacements are a one spring inside another. Still not sure what discoloured the oil, but it doesn’t smell burnt. Will change it and the filters soon just making sure that they collect anything we disturbed taking it apart. Thanks all for the help
