JD7810 IVT Trouble

So, i have a 2002 7810, 11580 hrs, with IVT transmission that is stuck in Park. There's a bunch of error codes, most of them related to transmission oil pressure being low. I want to know what the codes mean and if somebody has had similar problems or knows something that would help me fix it.

Here's the full story:
This is my secondary cultivation tractor that i don't use very often. A couple of weeks ago i sent the tractor to do it's first job for the year, some stubble cultivation with a heavy disk. first two days everything was ok. On the third day, the driver called me in the morning saying a light came on indicating trans oil filter clogged but then it went off. the filters weren't due for a change for another hundred hours or so. He also told me that sometimes when he reaches the headland, the engine doesn't throttle back as it should. I said we'll look into it when he gets back. After noon, he called saying there's a problem with the tractor, keeps going into park by itself. Told him to come back home which he did, but he couldn't drive past 5-6 km/hr or it would 'park' itself. Barely got in the yard and i went on and checked the error codes. The transmission light was flashing. I asked somebody on this forum what the codes meant and he said the trans pressure sensor is broken and that the transmission needed a calibration. Indeed, the said sensor was broken and after i calibrated the transmission as instructed, the tractor started moving but after a few laps around the farm it started flashing the transmission light and would park itself if trying to push it, and got to a point where it wouldn't move at all. i ordered the pressure sensor and after installing it, the pressure readout was much smaller than it should be: about 10-11 bar instead of 17-18 at 1000 rpm and it goes up to 18 when at full throttle. this was confirmed with an analog barometer connected to the System port on the transmission cover. the mechanic who helped me with the sensor installation also checked a valve that he said it was controlling the pressure but that seemed ok, all intact, no broken springs, no marks. The trans oil filter was replaced too, didn't help. He then said it was nothing else he could do. My only other option is to send it on a trailer to the main and only JD dealer in my country, but i was warned by others that they don't like to get their hands too dirty and just replace the whole unit. Obviously i don't want to go that way unless i am sure there is no other option.

These are the error codes stored in the APC: 100, 094, 119, 118, 142, 130, 056, 139. Can somebody give me a description for them? Or even better, for all the APC codes? Also, the APC addresses description would be nice..

Has anybody had this kind of problem?

Has anybody any idea on what it could be or what to check next so i can get closer to finding the problem?

I suspect 2 possible causes:
1. worn oil pump. From what i understand looking in the parts diagram, the pump is part of the front cover of the transmission. This front cover looks like it was replaced before because it;s not painted green like the rest of the transmission. The tractor had 7k hours when i got it in 2010 and i don't know it's history.

2. worn clutch pack, with debris blocking the mesh screen that is above the filter, so it's restricting the oil flow. This scenario came in my mind because of that blocked filter warning. I had the same problem with the JD6620 a couple of years ago. The filter light came up before being due for a change. Replaced it the same day but next day it lost it's clutch. When we opened it up, some of the disks had nothing left on them, just bare metal and the oil was black.

Wow, this is my longest post ever, hope somebody has the time to read it and is able to help me...

Now Then..
I'll have a look into it tomorrow sometime. I was out with the dogs early this morning, fixed tractors all day and most of the night. Time for a bit of sleep... There's more to do tomorrow,,,,, Aarrrrggghhhh!!!

I always remembering a circlip failing in the hydro, allowing a bearing to move slightly and thus destroying the planitary...
It was the same on the 7010...7020 and the 7030.... there were various serial number range PIPs but it's a faulty design.. John Deere know it, dealers know it....

Reminds me of this thread. The YouTube vid got taken down but I made some screen shots of the input planetary destruction. Not that this gore helps radu at all.

Your symptoms sound exactly the same as my vario 6920 a couple of months ago was using it fine then would go into Park and error code after error code would come up Trans filter blocked see dealer Trans pressure low see dealer so took it home and noticed the colour of the oil had changed stripped the back end down and it had eaten it's planetary gears sending fillings everywhere replaced the gears put it all back together and it appeared to be ok but it was losing pressure somewhere so I put it on a waggon and got shut of it last I heard it had stopped moving and all the solenoids were full of fillings it'll be abroad now so not my problem anymore.

I dropped about 1 gal of oil from the backend and this is an example of what i found:

Will ship it to the dealer's workshop and see where that leads..

Don't worry, karma will come back around.

The fendt 818 I had would throw up an error code always passing the same place when I headed into town. hindsight is great; but a dealer told me the filter sensors were known to be faulty and to drive on. Had to replace the vario a year later; but when replaced; I never got a vario error code.
Unlike gearboxes; there's no big drama when they go; it's just error codes and no drive
