Good to hear someone else on the same page as us. And as he often does, getting the tone right and the message across
Like him or loathe him, I think he’s done more for farming’s image than anyone else in recent times

But, will anyone listen?
The last but one paragraph is so true.
Will anyone listen, I doubt it till too late.
Folk don't realise it takes time for crops and animals to grow from conception to maturity , you cant just increase food ,water and fuel supplies at the flick of a mobile phone, computer switch, and that includes Vegan foods as well.

How is it that that the government won’t or don’t want to listen to us ? We can all see problems coming with food shortages so why can’t they see it , they are the ones who will get the blame from the general public and have to sort it out .

Do the great unwashed actually see the food shortages coming? Is their head also in the sand? If the government made an announcement now that it was going to happen can you imagine the immediate panic buying that would take place?

Entirely agree, surely it’s the staff of the organisations that advise government on food supply who are the people who must be “as thick as two short planks” if they can’t see the problems coming.
Pretty obvious not rocket science to see such a basic problem coming, as I always say brains and common sense are far apart. :banghead:

I think it’s a case of ‘BS baffling brains’

Probably always has been in politics. No time for any of the self serving Westminster incumbents

Then you compare Jeremy with the "farmers" NFU & you think what the hell are they doing?

Yet the press are seemingly picking up on this, but the massive hikes in fuel is the Headliner at present.

Food is for many, a small proportion of total expenditure... Thius will change.

Exactly the government know food will be short but to tell the nation that, it will be even more scarce with panic buying.
