Watching 1 episode a night with the eldest who‘s almost 8 before he goes to bed. Highlight of the day last couple of days, both really enjoying it.

Jeremy so far seems to have got the balance between entertainment and ’documentary’ spot on, in fact its more ‘documentary’ than I thought it would be, great telly!!

We’ve watched 2 episodes and the more I watch of it, the more I think that Guardian critic didn’t actually watch any of them.

That scene at the abbatoir where he gets the paperwork done then goes to say goodbye had me laughing and the wife in tears.

think he’s struck a good balance and good on him getting stuck into everything,

wondering how many drains he’s burst with that mole plough tho.......🤔🤣🤣🤣

Whilst we may like the programme, guess who gives it One Star .....

May I suggest we all email [email protected], and suggest she looks at The Farming Forum (TFF) if she wants to learn about farming , and what a marvellous person Jeremy Clarkson is a regards educating the general public about farming.

I have no idea what programme she was watching, but obviously a completely different one to me! My son read the article in the Guardian and already told me it was a load of rubbish, but to be fair that is about what I would expect from the Guardian. Hope she is struggling with cognitive dissonance over the fact she obviously dislikes Clarkson and the fact he is a remainer !

Is the Guardian for “too good to be true folk that have no sense of humour and think , what’s yours is mine but what’s mine is my own”, self centred begrudgeul lefties”, if so they are obviously of the same thinking as staff of the BBC. (n) (n)

No she watched the same program as you, she’s just on a different planet!
In her head (and many like her) “agriculture” is just bad. All land should be managed for wildlife (by young “imaginative” “land managers”) food should come from supermarkets. The fact Clarkson tried “conventional” farming seems to have been the problem from her POV

I was thinking a neighbouring farmer might be more help. I can see why they used the agent however to add some professionalism. He does come across a bit of a stick in the mud though - do as I say because…..! Also comes across with a sense of I know the rules but have never done it myself before. Probably not true however.

I keep wondering about how much his bill must be for such simple advice…..

I suspect it may be scripted almost as much as Top Gear was.;) Cheerful Charlie can hardly keep a straight face at times.

I had to chuckle when Clarkson said in the farm sale about diversity and there being every type of white male 60 year old there!
