Anyone ever had a pedigree jersey calf born almost black.In all the years ive been breeding never seen one until today not a deep black like an angus but a very dark brown black

Bought two yearlings by ribblesdale beaumont, both very dark, one has just calved her 3rd, red and white fr bull calf, so must be some 'red' colour in the breeding, they were both sold as pure jerseys.

Daughter has a few Jerseys and we struggle to find bulls that transmit chest width, most studs are full of narrow chested poor uddered bulls, not the sort of animal that most would want. Which bulls are others using TIA

we have some nice milkers from canadian jersey gabys arrow, his figures are now crap, his hfrs/cows are not.

What do you think of them?

Only had two that the Danes had used on heifers we imported. One was a bull & the other has left the herd.

Viking Genetics change bull lists faster than I change my pants but anything with an NTM of over 20 is good to go so I wouldn't have a problem using him if he ticks the boxes you're looking for

If you you want strength go nz bull misty.If you want udders and milk use american the dainish jersey is an in between animal trying to be everything.

Not a great photo of a really nice Misty heifer. I've got quite a few this year and really like them.
