Jersey X/Jersey Bulling heifers

Looking for a group of Jersey/Jersey X bulling heifers. Must be TB Free. Anything slipped out of spring blocks considered.

Saw 3 herds in Ireland last week but no good. Looking to change plan and buy some fresh calved ones next May and roll them over.

All things being equal I take the tenancy on next year. I'd like to be cash positive the day I start hence the change in breeding.

Existing one but in my name on FBT rather than AHA.

I was quoted 750-775 delivered. But I wasn't convinced they also bull so they stayed behind.

Paid for flights and hotel. Spent a grand total of 18 hours in Ireland...8 of them I was asleep.

That's a bit of a raw deal. If you were a serious buyer no reason they shouldn't have paid cost of business. Bullers at that would be strong money when beefy can buy milkers at that.

Not any more. 950 is the cheapest at the moment

Hardly bank breakers at that though for the right animal. on the to do list year is get sorted early to pick up some of these bargins

Something will be cheap next year if not cows then I think I can source some bulling heifers cheap enough and just miss a year of replacements and have a pile the year after

I wasn't that impressed with the outfit at all really. I got pushed around 3 different people. One group of bullers I went to see were only 10 months old. For a company that doesn't want to push you, they were pushing me hard. They rang up again today to say they had found another group. I declined and cancelled the ones I was interested in.
