It wasn't long ago they didn't know what influenced the jet stream, now it gets mentioned at every opportunity by the weather presenters. Now they have discovered a new piece of jargon, watch out for US Polar Vortex used when in the past high pressure from the arctic would have sufficed.

I think they have been better a predicting the recent storms hence the services were out in force on the sea front yesterday protecting the public from danger, thank god there has been very few deaths , a similar event some 60 years ago saw the loss of over
400 lives on the Eastern Coast

is it realy that hard to work out its going to be wet n windy? i have not looked at weather forecast for months, but i look at barometor several times a day

i thoguth it preceeded the computer age, thought it had slipped a bit, maybe stretched the chain. it was blamed last year too round this time or a bit later, someone really should go over and sevice it.

maybe if its electric we can get chipped or remapped(y)

you know the japs discovered the jet stream long before any one else and used it to carry balloons with bombs on board to yanksville,then when the super fortresses returned the favour they shot over tokyo at a 100mph over indicated speed.
