Very sad news, having met Jim a few times and on various trips away, always enjoyed his point of view on tillage and getting the best from the soil,
a very nice man, sad news indeed he will be sorely missed.

RIP Jim,
I've never met him but read his articles and post with the greatest respect, I messaged him a few times on here and he gave me very good advice.
He will be sadly missed

I'm another who never met Jim but always looked out for his posts on here and his articles in the press. He will be a great loss to our industry.

RIP

I met Jim a few times, always enjoyed a good chinwag about anything and everything agricultural.
He's one of the main reasons I headed down the direct drilling route. Giving me advice back in BFF days. Always told it as it was, never beat around the Bush.
A great shame.
May he rest in peace.
