I was so very sorry to hear of Jim’s death the night before the first day of LAMMA and well done for Nigel to man the Bullock Tillage stand there.
He will be greatly missed by me and many others.

I have never met Jim, but always read his articles in FW, Farmers Guardian etc with much interest as a very fair, balanced and realistic view of farming innovation and trying things out.

I met Jim a few times, always enjoyed a good chinwag about anything and everything agricultural.
He's one of the main reasons I headed down the direct drilling route. Giving me advice back in BFF days. Always told it as it was, never beat around the Bush.
A great shame.
