A LWB 2 door diesel Jimny with some towing capacity would sell well as a no-frills work truck.
Does it really matter if they are lhd ? Aren't most, if not all utv's lhdI believe Mexico and some other markets had the option of the VW 1.9 TDI - but it'd be LHD
The Lake Frome Monster by Arthur Upfield is a detective novel set along the fence.Where i was north of Broken hill on the station, it was approx 4 hrs to town, an hour and a half to the neighbours and 2 hrs to the pub !
Went with the boss and his mates on a riding weekend all off-road or dirt tracks, did 1000km that weekend. The mates had travelled a 1000km from Victoria just to get to the station ! The outback is a huge place ,!!!

A mate of mine , who has lots of “great ideas” ....... looked hard at converting Suzuki’s with , I think ...a 1400 cc Peugeot/ Citroen diesel....don’t think he ever tried it.
Got to call by so will ask..... sounded like a good idea if properly engineered..
Keep it simple is my theory. Tried it off road yestersay on tarmac tyres and it’s all but useless so have ordered a set of super swampers in standard size and think that will do as far as mods go.
Would a conversion work on a Skoda Yeti 4x4?
So yours is petrol then?Standard petrol engine does 30mpg so unless it’s knackered I see little point in removing it.
