Job going at the BBC

Can I apply as a member of an oppressed minority.

I'm a British born white rural person who has worked all his life, provided employment for other people, whose family have done the same, whose father and grandfather fought for our freedom and liberty, has paid a huge amount in tax over the years, produces food the most important thing in people's lives although they don't realise it, and also has to do a lot of things the police are supposed to do on a voluntary basis .

Quite possibly. Put down the pitch forks because the full text on the application is much more reasonable:

This opportunity is only open to individuals from a group that is under-represented in the creative industries. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Asian and ethnically diverse candidates, people with disabilities and individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.

At least they are not funding this appointment with my money,as I have cancelled my TV licence and have stopped financing the woke .
Assuming this ad is genuine perhaps we, the licence payers, should be putting a complaint into government that we are required to pay a licence fee to an organisation with a blatantly discrimatory employment policy

They need to add Cornish to the list. We are an officially recognised minor ethnic group 👍
Should also be represented properly on all Borads. I am available for well rewarded non exec roles 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have actually Ireland 34%, England 31%, Wales 17%, Scotland 9%, Sweden2% but this bit makes me an ethnic minority European Jewish 7%, of course I have just realised, Jewish is the one type of ethnic minority that does not count, in fact everybody on the left seems to hate Israel!

Since when has Jewishness been an ethnicity?

I don't pay my licence fee any more. Don't watch it. The day they ran an article saying you can get covid from your dog and livestreamed George Floyds funeral was enough for me. Just had enough of it - used to like 5 live but its just lightweight crap now. Podcasts all the way now and a few websites.

That said I can totally understand when they want to use black, asian ,disabled, presenters etc I think that is reasonable to a point but they were doing that when Floella Benjamin did Playschool and her colour wasnt an issue then and it isn't now. But to specify researchers etc is just ott.

Seems BBC are wasting the advert money because everyone in this country is too lazy to get a job anyway.

I think its a scam so all the bbc employees families and mates can apply for a job they have no chance of getting, hence ticking a box on thier job seeks allowance form.
