Disappointed. I am more than disappointed. A week ago Bluegreen promised me the Anti Christ visiting from Belgium. I assume he has done the decent thing and is self isolating. But a bit of a let down for the Anti Christ to be so socially responsible. Had hoped he would be a coke snorting super rock star.

The Anti Christ was arrested and released on $5 million bail last week, so no passport to travel to Belgium.

Well, old Joe isn't having much luck, he keeps being asked questions, and his 'answers' are even less relevant to the point in question that those frequently given by President Trump. In the last few days he has forgotten where was, failed to follow his own speech on autocue and forgotten what he was talking about - and he's stayed out of the public eye as far as possible too.

This poor old fellow's going to be humiliatingly demolished in the debates, by President Donald Trump...

By all accounts, he gets the answers to questions from potential voters via autocue. All pre-planned in advance.

Ah, Ruth Dudley, the revisionists revisionist!
She wrote of the British Empire the following “For the truth is that, as empires go, the British version was the most benevolent of all. With all of its deficiencies, it brought much of value to the countries it occupied”.
Tell that to the people of Drogheda, Clonmel, Cork City! Tell that to the cities of Limerick and Waterford, who had their ports taken over to ship food and timber to the colonial armies overseas, when the famine was raging in Ireland.
Tell that to the people of Amritsar!
Tell that to the people’s of South Africa.
Forget to acknowledge that concentrations camps were first used in war by the British empire in South Africa.
Of course, all of that is in the past. But history can’t be changed. Revisionists like Ruth Dudley Edwards have zero credibility. What she has to say about past events is demonstrably incorrect. Consequently what she has to say about current events, isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

She even penned an excoriating review of the Film, “The wind that shakes the barley”, for the Daily Mail. Filled with stupid inaccuracies. When later challenged on TV about her review, she admitted she had never seen the film.... I kid you not!

I note you didn't mention the issue of NI and the Belfast Agreement.

Yes. That’s a complicated thing, probably above my pay grade. Suffice to say though, that it as well as other international agreements or treaties such as the withdrawal agreement, aren’t up for unilateral change.
If they (international agreements) can be unilaterally changed, the world becomes a more unstable place.

What a remarkable and simultaneous display of self-righteous indignation and ignorance; was that the same British Empire which had so many Irish troops and sailors, and the same one in which so many Dublin merchants - and others in Ireland - made their fortunes, yet watched their countrymen starve?

Perhaps not, because that British Empire invented concentration camps. Whereas, in the real world, concentration camps - at least in the modern era - were first used by the Spanish during the Cuban War of Independence. And the were just that, camps to 'concentrate', i.e. gather numbers of people in one easily manageable place, as were the British ones in the Boer War.

But then, it's just possible that you really aren't so ignorant as not to know all that. And that, really, you just want to try a bit of historical revisionism yourself, especially because many confuse 'Concentration Camps' with that horrible invention of your German* EU chums, Extermination Camps...

That's possible isn't it? After all you 'revise' 'facts' all the time, so a bit of historical lying won't hurt. 😐

*We don't see you condemn Germans on the basis of their past genocides, any of them...

I don’t see ANY, revisionists for the Nazi war crimes. I certainly don’t see ANYBODY, with the GUMPTION, to suggest it brought good to ANYBODY! It’s not on anybody’s agenda I know of, and if it were, I would give him/her both barrels.

This stupid woman, RD Edwards is an entirely different kettle of fish.

Creepy uncle Joe is indeed a puppet. He should probably stop touching and smelling the hair of young girls on stage with him for a start.

But, but, but... if you're so against people revising the past, why did you write that we British invented Concentration Camps, when it is a demonstrable untruth? (and not have the decency to admit it untrue)

I think it was because you thought you'd get away with it, and liked the idea that they might be mistaken for the extermination camps of your German bosses; that, or you were simply ignorant about the subject you raised. Ignorant, or just more lies...? 😐

Hmm... what about, in India alone, the canals, railways, vaccination programs, codified law (humane for its time), schools, colleges and universities, incorruptible Courts etc. etc., all bad? After all, it would only be someone biased and with an axe to grind that would judge others solely on what he thinks the worst of them, ignoring the best...

he hasn't got an axe to grind, he has an axe handle and a heap of filings.
In fact he is on his second one, that's why he disappeared from our screens for so long, he had to save for a new axe
and a new grind stone

Wouldn’t you be better off toddling down to the local farm supply store, and purchasing a brand new “made in EU” axe.
You would make much more progress hedge cutting and you wouldn’t have your neck in a hoop by tea time!!
No need to purchase a file, as now that my axe is ground to nothing, I would be delighted to donate my pride and joy to you. As you would say, I now have “nart” to be doing with it!🙂
