John dale Eco drill. What's everyone's thoughts??

Morning everyone.

Much to the title really.
What everyone's thoughts on the Eco drill?
Pro's and con's

Looking at changing our 4m vaddy rapid in for a 6m Eco drill.

Good drill and nice people to deal with

No better zerotill tine drill really but tines do have limitations vs discs in some situations

Very good people to deal with, I think the new versions have increased tine spacing I think this would be an improvement

Indeed, There is no drill that is perfect in every situation, ideally you need both

I would have a look at the SimTech drill as well. I can highly recommend

I've got the dale zero tell, bloody good drill, yes I have drilled into cultivated just back the pressure right off. I have to say though i am not so keen on the new press wheel designs, I like the older seed hawk ones, but that's my preference. Bocassion has got a seed hawk in.

Yes I am using one as a conventional drill. Only maybe 20%dd this year 80% conventional drilled. Works in all conditions. Not the same quality of finish as a vaderstad but will do things a vaderstad won't.

Quite a few years ago we planted some peas into ploughed land with one, it worked fine/well.
