On a 2600 its a compact flash card that you take out, its under a little black door on the top left of the screen.

Fraserb the card in the 2600 at the moment looks quite large not actually taken it out yet, are they just a normal size Sd card? I cant see a slot that I would think big enough for the size I am expecting to come out of the 2600.

If you don’t have card slot on your pc you’ll need a reader like this.

The card in the 2600 is like the one on the rh side, just push th button to pop it out (when powered down). You’ll need John Deere date manager installed on your pc to load the data to operations center, that’s provided your using the jd platform to view the maps.
Good luck ?

What is the USB port for on a 2600? I've always used the Flash Card for putting info on & taking it off, eg updates, yield maps, variable rate jobs.

What software are you using to view the maps with @Chickcatcher ?

I’ll be honest I didn’t think there was a USB port on a 2600 but it’s been a long time since I’ve done anything with one. I seen to remember there been a random port like a lan or something on the back. Couldn’t tell you what it’s for though, sorry.
2630 is a much faster unit on GS3 and GS4 I find much more user friendly, I have a feeling the 2600 will start getting fazed out on software updates in the not to distant future like the old brown box.

“My John Deere” is fairly straight forward to set up(I’m not saying it’s straight forward to use but it’s free) I set one of my contacting customers up on it the other day. It save me keep having to printing 30 odd yield maps off every year! Now I just upload them to my account and he can view them on his instantly, and he’s got all his historical data in one place.
There’s some other nice bits of software in “operations centre” for writing variable rate files etc, it has potential to be something quite useful especially as it’s free.
