Could be soft spring in pto lever. Bungee cure that. Often seals tired in hi lo pack. That gulps so much oil when dropping into low, so pto lever drops Out with pressure loss. 40/50 series deere Worst heap on planet for hydraulic performance even new. Reject it. And buy a dynashift massey. Lowest financial risk performer you can buy. I kid you not. New complete double pump. £300 and will tip trailers in a desert heat.

Don't worry about number 3 that's not bad over a few night. Number 1 is this all the time or just when oil is cold? Number 2 have you tried changing the hi lo splitter while the pto is running to see what happens?does transmission oil light ever come on or flash on the dash? When was hydraulic oil filter been changed last

What hours are on the tractor- circa 8-10k combined with the age of these (good) machines now and the seals in the hydraulic system may well be getting tired, worn and possibly brittle. The deere hydraulic system was sold iirc on only supplying oil "on demand" which helped efficiencies. That's all fine and dandy until a leak occurs then the trans pump can struggle to keep the main pump supplied with oil hence juddery hydraulics and loss of steering.

My first port of call would be to get the tractor nice and hot (usually these problems manifest themselves when the hyd oil is hot). Get hold of a destroke screw for the main pump and pressure test the pto and hi lo unit (plumb into the reservoir at the front of the tractor) to see what is going on there.. Pressure drops will show on your gauge and let you make your diagnosis.

Start with the obvious candidates with wearing parts in the system- assuming you've changed all filters already. Faults here can throw up some weird and wonderful hydraulic symptoms that can be red herrings in the diagnostic process.

There's a proper test port under the floor just to the right of the hi/lo linkage for testing the trans pump, it should be putting out about 150 psi.

There's nowhere in that post I can see the use of the word bought, purchased, acquired, borrowed, hired or anything else that may suggest he is the current owner or operator of the said vehicle.

@valcam do you currently own the 3050 in your post?
