I have a 3050 and a 3650 both loader ready but they share a boom, the 3650 operates the loader at a far faster speed, but it suits me to mostly have the loader on the 3050, I see you can get two hydraulic pumps 23cc and 40cc, one has a keyed shaft the other a spline, inspection shows I currently have one of each. Can I fit a 40cc pump onto the 3050 or are there other differences in the rest of the system other than the drive shaft that would prevent me from doing this ? Cheers

Somebody asked the same thing somewhere else I peruse and general consensus was, whilst the big pump can be made to fit the 3050 it probably wasn’t advisable. I think they said it was due to it potentially blowing seals o-rings etc.

I was always under the impression that the big pump was an option on the 30/3350 and it wouldn’t have caused a problem, but they didn’t think that was the case.

I'm sure someone on here will know more !.

Just looking on JD parts and it shows both 23cm and 40cm pumps as available for 3050, so I still see no reason you can’t fit one lol.

someone must know for certain, nick young perhaps !.

I’ve seen both listed too but wasn’t sure if it was supplied from the factory as new would there be other differences in the build spec internally. Surely someone must have swapped one before now, or tried and failed!, cheers

just a thought but the front main pumps is fed from and internal pump in the transmission, are these the same or would that too need upgrading?
