John Deere 6030 terrible kick on reverser ! JD guys help

On 6020s depends on the epc software version. Do you have epc40 to 43 addresses or not ?. If not you need a software update to open the addresses up then you can fine tune the transmission modulation.

Doesn't sound good tho. Black oil on sight glass?.

Similar issue here with a 6820 except it's the opposite - it has too much delay engaging reverse especially when warmed up on a buckrake. Just sits there slipping clutch for ages before it eventually starts going backwards. Hoping it's not the start of clutch problems. Is there a way of changing the speed of clutch engagement on these?
