Why not look in th Ops manual??
OMAL212500 for instance, Section 16, Command Center, Setting Service Interval.
Service Interval: Alarm interval is adjustable between 0 and 1000 hours, in 10-hour increments. When hours of operation reaches setting, service alarm will sound with a corresponding message appearing on CommandCenter™.
After service is performed, Hours-Since-Service display should be reset to zero.

  1. Press the menu button.
  2. Select Performance Monitor.
  3. Select Performance Monitor Settings softkey.
  4. At Performance Monitor page go to Service Alarm Interval box, and select it.
  5. Adjust service interval [If using thumb wheel, rotate thumb wheel forward or rearward to change hour setting displayed.] .
  6. Make selection when desired entry is displayed.
  7. Go to Reset Hours Since Service Box (B) and select Time Since Last Reset button to reset time.
  8. Press softkey (C) for a minimum of 3 seconds to reset hours since service.
I often manipulate the figures up or down a little to try to keep to the services in the service book.

As the OP has pointed out you cannot reset this reminder through the command center as it isn't fitted to this range of tractors (6M series), the interval doesn't seem to expire either, I know on some machines it stops after so many key starts.

The address isn't published in the operators manual for reasons best known to John Deere, it is easy to change. Some leave the value in VTV045 as 'zero' so that they are never bothered again. I prefer to reset then set a '500hr' interval so all the major services are covered.

Apologies,,,, I never read the heading correctly. I presume you're seeing this??

VTV 000916.14 — INFORMATION FOR OPERATOR: Service interval.
This information for the operator (diagnostic trouble code) is generated if the control software detects that the set service interval has expired (triggered 20 hours in advance).

As JD6820 correctly states one can modify the value at address VTV045. However I prefer a setting of 250 hours so as to coincide with the services in the book. 500 hour setting will not alert to the 750 hour transmission oil filters change interval.

I'd agree with you from a dealer technician point of view, but 80% of our customers change trans/hyd filters at 1000hrs instead of 750, seems to make little difference to tractor operation so I let them get on with it, I am there to advise not enforce, but you are very correct by the book it should be 250hrs ;)

Do they also extend the trans/hyd oil change interval to 2000 hrs?

No that stays as the usual 1500hr, but have had the odd one or two say: "I regularly top up the oil due to the old tipping trailer loosing it out of the ram, so I'm not gonna bother changing it as the oil is new." To which I think: hmmm you must have one of those tractors with a selective hydraulic system only dumping out the old oil and emptying suction strainer at the same time! Haha
