Hi, I’ve a 6150r that refuses to lower link arms.. don’t seam to be snagging anywhere and I’ve tried putting weight on them to pull them down but no good.. buttons on rear mudguards won’t move them either.. any thoughts? Thanks

We've got a 150r at work that does a similar thing intermittently. You have to stick an allen key in the hole on top of the linkage motor and either twist or push, I can't remember.

I'm guessing you've tried stopping and starting it again and no error codes?

They're looked at this tractor and can't find the problem as it is so intermittent, but it may be that your motor has packed up

Yea I’ve tried stopping and starting the tractor and it’s not showing any error codes, shows on the screen the set height moving down as you move the control down and also shows the link height staying up full so the tractor knows I’m telling it to drop and also know that arms aren’t moving.. I may have to try screwing the motor to see if I get anything from it.. thanks for your reply!

Not on a JD but our puma's do this and its because we have accidentally knocked a switch on the cab pillar which disables the rear linkage. we knock it sometimes when messing with the sprayer control box which is mounted right next to it. First time it happened we were scratching our heads for a while! anyway thought its worth a mention just in case JD have something similar.

Now Then....
I had something like this years ago with a 6125R. I had to put a new chassis controller on. It was warranty back then. I can't recall how I diagnosed it though 🤔..
I've also seen the stepper motor seize..

Tap of a hammer on the stepper motor and we are back in action! Must of seized as tractor is mostly pulling a trailer and doesn’t do a lot of linkage work .. Thanks for all the replies!!
