I've got the red stop light and the orange warning light also flashing strongly on a 6400. No other lights are coming on on the dash but the pto warning light on the side console is also flashing and the pto won't engage. Can the pto fault cause the two lights on the dash to flash?
Hi I message you the other week iv got the same problem with my 6400 ,,, you said you think it was a box under the cab was it the one near the right hand step if you can remember, what need you do just replace it ?? ,,, iv checked the wires and fuses it’s sending me around the bend now lol

If above doesn't work Also try and disconnect the trans temperature switch on the powerquad front cover. Single wire sensor some times there's a low temp and high temp.

Hi there, as above.

Problem is that the red stop light, and the orange warning light flash strongly all the time, the handbrake light, the air cleaner light, rear end pressure light all flash dimly until you put the handbrake on or loop the air cleaner sensor wires, then they go out! But the red stop light and orange warning light still flash strongly. All lights work correctly when you turn on the ignition switch and turn the engine over.
I have tried another dash from my local dealer, just the same symptoms.

Any help with this would be appreciated. Sharpy

First I would check the spools are set to the closed hydraulic position on the caps. There are threads on here about rusted up balls for the detent in the top of the caps. Try putting these into the search box.

Hello
I have a 2001, 621SE and has the same problem as Sharpy.
First I had a RPM sensor that din not work properly. I changed the sensor, changed motor oil and filter.
After the first start up the ligths started to flash.
But it was gone after a short drive.
Few days later it comes back on in a cold start up. I change filters and oil on trans. The light are still there, but when i has been on idle for some time it goes back to normal.
Some days later it lights up again. Not goins away

Something I discovered on the issue Last nigth is that the only warning that shows when Ignition is on and engine not running is the orange battery light. When the engine is running and it blinks, nothing changes when I pull the one cable to the engine oil pressure svitch.
When the engine starts it take a second or so before the hydraulic and transmision oil temp, transmision lubrication, and engine oil pressure starts blinking. In addition to air filter and transmission filter. The last two and parking brake light goes away when parking brake is on.
The light is stronger when the direction handle is in neutral, and when the tractor is warm.

I do not think that there is any tecnical problem with the tractor. It has only 2300 hours.

The symtoms are typical for a bad ground, but I cant find any. Is there any wiring diagram available? It can be a short between a ground and a signal cable? Someone mentioned a relay fault, but wich and where?

It is winter and snow prowing season now. It is quite a challenge to search for faults.

If any has any input that help me to search spesific things it is wery welcome.

What happens when you use the hazard warning light switch?

Presume it is a PQ tranny, I would get the pressures tested first just so that you know there will be no damage if you carry on using it, but as all your lights are blinking?

I think it is the powerquad transmission. Yes of course, I have to check that before I use it further.
It is very unlikely because it is not a single warning light. And it is faint.
The JD dealer here was unware of this kind of problem so they could not tell me anything specific to start with.
Take a look at the cables on the right side under the floor.
I think it is something to do with the power supply to the warning lights since the lights aren lit with ignition on.
