John deere 6410 tie rod end

Hi there, replaced a tie rod end on my jd 6410p. Wheel alignment etc ok but the shaft that the lock nut goes onto in the hub keeps coming loose and causing play in the front wheel. Have the tractor jacked up and prying the tie rod end down into the hub and buzzing nut up with gun, seems to be tight. Once leg down and steering turned a couple of times on the ground play returns in the pivot. Any ideas on how to retain tension or if my hub/bush is nackered
TIA

The cone will only tighten so far as the nut runs out of thread. If you catch it in time you can put a washer under the nut to gain a couple more turns. Plan B is new track rod end which isn’t dear from the dealer. If you have left it too long you may have to replace the casting end too. Second hand from a breakers, nick young tractor parts or genuine from your dealer. Had a washer on mine for about 10 years now and all still tight for now.
