I have a john deere 6600. In the morning when i start her up she idles at 800rpm. Then afer about 30 mins of work she will idle at 1000rpm. The cables are fully seated against the bolts for the idle but i dont see anything wrong. Any ideas?
There is a submersible pump, or can be fitted on the chassis, that can fail. There is also a mesh gauze where the the diesel is drawn for the injector pump. Faulty pump or clogged gauze wi ll cause hard or impossible starting and or unsteady idling. There is also a heat assist system usually activated by pressing in the key for 30 to 40 seconds
