Why would u take the wrap out of the boxes is my question when your loading up the fusion? I don’t and can’t see why one would want too.
Cuz you can lift it right onto the dispenser without faffing.

Because boxes very often breakup and then are difficult to carry away in the machine as I am not an arse that likes dumping empty boxes every where around the country side. Why would u take the wrap out of the boxes is my question when your loading up the fusion? Never had a problem in 30 seasons as run a professional service that customers have always trusted in. It was just away to stop drivers leaving rubbish in customers fields .How does your client know what brand of wrap he is getting? Are u buying cheap Eastern European wrap and charging as though it’s a well known brand. If the client ever had an issue with badly conserved bales what would u do. I always leave core and box and any plastic packaging tide in the field so they can see what they are paying for and as is sometimes the case they want 6 layers then the extra boxes are there to prove it went on. Just how I do it and I certainly am no litter lout!
If wind gets up cardboard and plastic can get blown into hedges rows which isn't good,,How does your client know what brand of wrap he is getting? Just been servicing our 678 today ready for later this week hopefully. Does anybody know where I can get these long R clips from that hold the wrap on without paying a fortune?

Also anybody else had issues like this with the chains and what brand of chain do deere use? I'm pretty sure the previous owner said he replaced this main chain not too long ago and paid an exorbitant amount for it. Think I'll buy a cheap length of new in for spare. Fortunately spotted and rejoined it before it snapped completely.

Do not buy chain from John Deere, in fact don't even use their chain if they pay you to. As @Wellytrack says Diamond chain is very good.Just been servicing our 678 today ready for later this week hopefully. 30-40 per hour would have been average going behind a twin rotor rake but heavy crops could make the going very slow. What sort numbers of bales can you achieve in an hour in most crops ?
