Hi All, i hope someone can help with this.

i have a 2006/7 678 combi baler that i bought in a non working state. there were sensors missing etc. i replaced these and got it working and it works just fine exept it will not "Auto Start" the wrapping cycle, i have to press "Start Cycle" on the greestar display.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be, there are no error codes that come up, only the ones stored in the memory

Thanks

I had this issue last week when we started first cut. About 30 bales in it mysteriously stopped working automatically, then as soon as the roll of net was replaced it worked again. There is a proximity sensor at the front of the baler where the net passes. I think that must be how the wrapper recognises when the net is being applied. I guess yours is faulty/missing by the sounds of things

Ours is a 2005 model. Looks like they changed the design a bit as we don't have those bits in your pic. The sensor on ours is under the green bar where the net runs through. I noticed the bad roll of net wasn't covering the full width of the bale which would explain why I needed to start the cycle manually.

And that detects the net is covering the whole bale? Maybe I'm meant to have one and it's missing...

It must do. I get an error message and the door doesn't open when the net runs out as well.

If there is no bracket there for a sensor and no black lead to it in your baler I guess the red sensor in your pic must be doing the same job?
