Gents,

I hope you guys can help. I have a problem with my AutoQuad transmission on my 2004 JD 6920S, i cannot get it shift automatically. When I press the auto shift button on the range lever i see on the centre instrument panel auto shift sign to appear also 4 bars come up, but it does not change gears. I have bought this tractor used from a dealer so I have no history.

I also have a presumably faulty ground speed sensor, as ground speed on instrument panel shows 0km/hr. (I'd like to change the sensor, does someone have good write up?)

interestingly, I get no error codes on any of the control units when i enter into diagnostic mode.

Can someone point me to reliable source where I can see what various ECU and EPC address codes mean? I am guessing settings may have been altered

Thanks,
AM

Now Then..
Yes, I'd assume that the speed sensor is faulty. What speed gearbox does it have??
All the error codes are listed in the operators manual which should be located behind the seat..
Here's a parts picture of the sensor location. Left hand side of the range box. This is the 50Kmh version.. The 40Kmh version might be a different part number

Thanks....it has 40Km/h speed gearbox, so I guess I should be changing both solenoids?
I don't get any error codes and find that strange...and that is why i'd like to know what address codes mean e.g., epc unit 000136? etc

Noooooo,,,, they are speed sensors, not solenoids. Only one is the ground speed, the other is the transmission speed. It uses both speed sensors to match and shift speeds.
Do you have a creeper gearbox??

Use the address for JD parts as seen in my picture. You should be able to navigate to the right page.
Do you have the operators manual for the tractor??
