John Deere 6930 EGR removal

Yes, yes and yes. Coolant supply to the VGT needs to be re-routed (although some say they can be run dry without overheating)

You'll need the ECU properly flashed to remove the EGR function afterwards. Derv Dr will be your only man to do the job correctly here, as said, the vgt maps have to be altered to make it work correctly without egr.
Ok so could blank either end of the EGR cooler, which means can leave egr cooler for now as if it leaks it can only do so externally as coolant will not be able to get to engine via it.
And then a Derv Doctor remap with EGR off.

Best plan is to remove the EGR cooler totally.

DD does some nice laser cut blanks for the exhaust manifold and for the inlet manifold where the feed pipe is connected.

You need to thread the thermostat housing and insert a bung here, and sort out retaining the water feed to the VGT unit (or not) The ex manifold has to come off, or at least back off the cyl head to remove the egr cooler which necessitates new bolts.

Whilst you are doing this, send him the ECU to be fettled. You will be staggered how much better they run with optimised injection timing, no egr and the VGT working as it should, not as Deere did it.

I had my 6430P EGR removed and the tractor boosted another 25hp by Roston Agricultural Services and it runs much better and cooler. I wouldn't start doing it myself!

100 % this. Don’t start playing about with the EGR blanking until you get the remap done by DD. When I had my 7530 done I sent him the ecu. He mapped it and sent it straight back with the blanking plate. Mine was a 2 day turnaround.

Did you remove the EGR cooler or just blank it off?

Typically how much does all this cost?
