Does anyone know what part number at Sauer Danfoss is this electric part of AutoTrac on JD 8530 ?
I get damn SSU 523795.12 error and that means that something there is bad. As I read on the web it is probably this electric part of AutoTrac.
Some guy wrote that he found it for 600$ but did not write what part and where.

@Tractortech @Timbo @NZ Tech

Thanks

Have you been on to jdparts.you will get a number on there that will probably make sense to a hydraulic supplier.had similar with hedge cutter few weeks ago and googled suppliers who knew the part and supplied it at about 15% of genuine part and it was identical even down to name on casting

You get only that number that I have wrote.

Maybe I have found the number. I must check on Monday.

DANFOSS 157B4078

That part number is for a PVED controlled proportional solenoid for spool valve control. More than likely the steering controller or interface to the steering orbitrol unit.

See link:

Not entirely sure but it may be a special ‘copywrited’ part made by Danfoss by only officially available from JD not third party hydraulics suppliers.

(PVED is the electronic ‘language’ for electronic proportional valve control that Danfoss developed yonks ago. It’s the sort of de facto standard for auto-steer communications with the steering valve from the steering controller.)

It is PVES type I think and that is what I need. Danfoss 157B4078 is 100% identical to RE333009, it is the same thing but JD is selling it under his number.
One german supplier says he cannot sell to me that valve, meaning that is it.

There is another type wich has only different plug and I think it might be what I need. I will change the plug and try. Price is like 600£ which is acceptable.

It’s a metripac style plug on the JD specific solenoid. If there are any other differences, only JD could tell you.

Yes this Danfoss number has that Metripac 4-pin plug. Other type is identical number but has 4-pin square DIN plug. That one I can buy.

Had a look at the datasheet in the hydrokit link above.

Looks like there’s several connector type variants in that solenoid family; Amp, DIN and Deutsch, but the Metri-pack connector variant must be reserved solely for JD and you can only get it from them. Signal wires should re-pin to new connector though...

Yes, that Danfos 157B4078 has 4 flat pins lile JD and other have round pins or square plug.
I have been told that 157B4833 is identical but has different plug.

Can you doble check how to repin it ? Like here I have 1-2-3-4 wires in a row.

The datasheet I linked to in the post above yours has the pin order/configuration for the various connector types for PVES variant on page 3...

What are the wire colours going into the connector and wire order on your metri-pack connector? Got a photo?

What connector style PVES replacement can you get hold of - is it the Amp in-line connector type (similar to metri-pack) or square (Hirschmann/DIN) connector type?

I dont have a photo coz I have closed the cover but this page says it clearly, thanks.

I can get that square DIN connector. But I have called at JD and the price is cca 760€ excl. VAT so it is near that Danfoss price. Unless I find it for way less. I was told it was around 1300€ excl. VAT.

It’s not worth the faffing around if there’s nothing in it money wise. However if you know you can get the same unit (just with different connector) for several hundred € less than JD then I’d break out the crimp tool and find a matching connector shell from an electronics supplier.

Just had this come on my 85. What did you end up doing in the end? Did it cure it?
