As an Ag Tech apprentice, you learn to use the very latest John Deere equipment, working at the cutting edge of technology.
John Deere dealer agricultural technicians are trained in engineering, electronics, hydraulics and diagnostics as well as gaining skills in areas such as communication, computing, sales and marketing which are all required for the modern business environment.
Qualified technicians often work on-site using their own initiative in a customer-facing role. They may be called upon to dispense advice to customers on machinery selection.
The Ag Tech Land-Based Engineering Service Engineer (LBSE) standard Level 3 training programme includes:
• 8 weeks of training each year for 3 years at the John Deere Training Centre in Nottinghamshire.
• Functional Skills Levels 2 in Maths & English (if required)
