John Deere atu on Bateman

I have a 3000 dome, 2600 screen and atu 200 on my combine, I would like to put these in my rb16, has anyone fitted these into a Bateman? If so any pictures or advice on your installation I like to keep the wiring tidy etc.
can you even get a steering boss to fit the Bateman?

I fitted a 3000 and 2600 and wheel to a housham. Got a steering boss for thesprayer and combine.

Yes we have fitted 3000 Dome and 2600 screen plus steering wheel to our RB16. works very well. Local JD dealer supplied the boss. Wired a plug straight off the battery, with fuse in it , if memory serves me right and made up some simple brackets to retain the steering motor to the steering column. Made up some brackets to take the rail that the dome mounts on and mounted it on the back of the cab. Used the two existing bolts to hold the brackets on.

Have done exactly this on RB 25, wired straight off battery through Harnesss that connects to the steering wheel, boss was supplied through our john deere dealer its a tidy job, make sure and get the switch that activates the wheel, it wires into the harness and I mounted it in front of the hydrostatic lever which makes it easy to steer into work with your left hand and then touch the resume switch with your right hand.
Our steering wheel is the latest type and is so much better than the older ones.

All parts supplied by Hunt Forest our local john deere dealer. They have someone who makes the boss up to fit perfectly.

I was hoping it might be a bit smaller but looks about the same.

The new wheel is alot quieter when moving and alot easier to set up..having the switch seperate makes a big difference..i had one of the original wheels before and this one is probably as close to integrated that your going to get..

Easier to set up in what way, and what do you mean by having the switch seperate? I have 2 of the older wheels and they both have the facility for a seperate resume switch in the wiring loom but I never use it.

I find that having the switch where I put it enables me to steer into work with left hand then just reach through off hydrostat lever with right hand..the desperate switch is more positive than the ones on the wheels..

Plus the new wheel self calibrated when you first put it on..believe me it's a far better wheel than the old ones which I had for approx 7 years

Apologies I’m late to the party , here’s my setup on my RB15. Only just got round to swapping it from the combine, which by chance is the exact same steering centre boss (Lexion), makes it a bit easier.
Its pretty much the same setup as @Kevtsmith except I have my pod mounted on the back of the cab and it’s the older atu.

It’s a universal loom which I’ve fitted tucked behind some of the panels but I keep it handy for getting off in case I want it on another machine, haven’t needed to remove it up to now though. Wired straight to the battery with its own on/off switch.

As a side note, has anyone fitted a jd rate controller to operate the section control? I’m currently using a teejet 230bp but would be handy to run it all though the jd screen. Not to worried about the actual rate control just sections as the LH controller is always spot on with rate.
